Our Photography School Student Images
The most rewarding part of running our courses and workshops is seeing the creative and original images that our students are able to produce as a result. We also see a very positive reaction across our Facebook and Twitter feeds when people realise just how good the images that our students produce really are. That is why we are going to regularly feature student images in our blog to inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
The above image is truly incredible, even more so because it was captured by a 13 year old student during a beginners photography course. The image was shot in jpeg mode and this is the file as it came off of the camera, with no post processing involved beyond cropping and converting to black and white. The boy who took this shot was a complete beginner before he came to us, using the cheapest DSLR on the market with a very low cost lens.
This image was once again captured by a complete beginner. In this case it was Lesley Hall who created this beguiling image on day 2 of a 2 day Photography for Beginners course.
Not technically a “student image” this was taken by Ion, our experienced photography tutor during a session out and about on the South Bank. This image features Al, an enthusiastic student, attempting to find the perfect angle and clearly having a great time whilst taking one of our hands-out and engaging courses.
This vibrant image was captured by a student named Gerard during an Street Photography course. Gerard had this to say about the day:
“Thanks for the excellent photography workshop last weekend. Your energy and passion for photography is contagious and I can’t thank you enough for opening my eyes to the wonderful images that can be achieved in locations I previously wouldn’t have noticed. I have attached a few of the images that were taken on the workshop. Thanks again, and I look forward to learning more from the Photoion Photography School in the future.”
This beautiful image of a dilapidated iron staircase was captured by student David Reid during a beginner’s photography course. It is so satisfying for our tutors to see wonderful images like these created under their guidance.
This is a particular favourite and is truly stunning. This wonderfully captured, crisp and inventive shot is the work of Michelle Wise, a student who was unbelievably joining us for a Photography for Beginners course. We are looking forward to seeing more of her work in the future.
