Photo of the Month Competition: August 2017

Each month we have a competition with a new theme that gives you the chance to win £100 in Photoion course vouchers. The competition is open to everyone.

This month’s topic will be Children Photography.

Here are a few tips to help you take the best images possible:

– Planing, planing, planing! Children can be difficult to photograph because they are virtually on contact move!

– Experiment with posing: Children are wonderful at producing unique and interesting expressions that bring out their personality, so work with that – just make sure to start off with simple ideas, do not over-think!

– Keep plenty of snacks and drinks close by: Find out what kinds of snacks and drinks your subject likes and keep plenty on hand to keep your subject happy while you capture the image. A happy child will make your job much easier! But please make sure the snacks are healthy ones!
