This is a once in a lifetime trip to Montenegro, a beautiful country filled with stunning landscapes and amazing history. This course will cover a variety of photography styles as you are guided by our Tutor, Ion, around the landscape of Montenegro and the streets of Kotor.

What will we do on the Photography Holiday in Montenegro?

If you love exploring new places, finding hidden treasures of scenic beauty, and capturing new places with your camera, then this photography holiday is for you. The workshops will consist of landscape photography, star gazing and starry (night) photography, and one day of portrait photography on location. We will finish by reviewing the images we have taken and post production.

Here are some of the locations we will be visiting during our trip:

The Bay of Kotor – The bay looks like a fjord and is about 28 km long from the sea to the Kotor city harbor. It is surrounded by a chain of mountains; the Orjen on the west, and Lovćen on the east. The Kotor Bay is a place of stunning natural beauty – a large water area shaped as a butterfly surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery, the tallest peak is 1400 meters high. We will find plenty of photographic opportunities there.
Lovcen Mountain and National Park – Standing over 1.7km above sea level, Lovcen offers beathtaking views of Kotor Bay, the city, and the surrounding area.

Kotor town and surroundings with its well preserved medieval walled city. The city of Kotor was first mentioned over 2,000 years ago and remnants of Roman architecture and ruins can still be found there to this day.
National Park Skadarsko Jezero – The national park is filled with a wide variety of vegetation, making it one of the most visually interesting places in the region. It also contains lakes which actually sit below sea level.

We will organise morning transfers from and to Tivat airport.

On 13th September please aim your flight to arrive before 11 am.

On 20th September we will arrive to the Tivat airport by 9 am so please aim to have your flight back after 10.30 am so it’s enough time for check in and security.

If you are coming from London there is a direct flight from London to Tivat operated by Easyjet.

Accomodation

We will stay in a 4 star hotel ‘Vardar’, in the heart of Kotor old town. The location and the hotel are superb and have easy and convenient access to most of our places of interest.
