Our Studio Hire Terms and Conditions

All bookings for the Photoion Studio are a contractual agreement between Photoion Photography School & the client and are subject to the following terms and conditions.

Booking

A booking is not considered final until full payment is received. By making a full payment the client is agreeing on the terms and conditions laid out in this agreement.

Payment and Cancellation

Payment is required in full at the time of booking. All booking payments are non-refundable.

Damages Deposit

A damages deposit of £200 is to be paid on the day of hire via cash or Paypal. This deposit covers protection of the lighting equipment and studio space on the day of hire. At the end of your hire period, the studio and equipment will be inspected and if there are no damages, your deposit will be returned to you.

Set Up and Take Down time

To avoid any overtime charges, clients must include set up and take down time within the hours booked.

Late Arrival

Bookings times start as per confirmed time and if the client is late, they will still be charged from the start of the agreed hire period.

Minors

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all persons under the age of 18 have the permission of a parent or guardian to be at the studio, including permission to perform any kind of work during that period.

Public Liability

The client must ensure that their own public liability insurance is operative for all persons in the studio during the hours of use, to cover any accident, injury, or death.

Music/Noise

We ask that clients respect the other occupants of the building and those around them. External music/stereo systems are prohibited, and if the client requires the use of the studio’s speaker system, we ask that it be used responsibly. We reserve the right to request the client lower the volume or cease use of the speaker system.

Any complaints of loud noise by offices or by the building manager will result in the loss of the full deposit.

Use of Equipment & Space

The client may not without the prior written consent of Photoion Studio:

a) Remove any equipment from the studio premises; or
b) Modify, alter, or tamper with the equipment in any way; nor
c) Use the equipment in a manner not recommended by the manufacturer; nor
d) Allow the equipment to be used by any untrained or unauthorised person(s).(e) Equipment must be returned promptly at the end of the hire period in the original condition.
f) The studio must be cleaned & left in the same condition it was received in at the start of hire and if not left in a clean condition a £40 cleaning fee will be charged.

Breakages, Losses and Damages Deposit

a) The client hiring the studio is responsible for all breakages, loss, or damages caused to the studio or equipment by him/her, or any other person, during the use of the studio. Any damages will be deducted from the damages deposit.
b) All equipment and services are supplied by Photoion Studio entirely at the risk of the client. Photoion Studio shall not be liable for any loss or damage to materials or props or equipment, including consequential loss and loss of profit however caused, arising out of the use or the inability to use the equipment supplied or agreed to be supplied.
c) No alterations, decorations, or additions to the studio are permitted without prior written consent of Photoion Studiod) The client shall pay any costs incurred by Photoion Studio arising out of any breach of these conditions.
e) The client must notify Photoion Studio at the time of supply if the condition of the equipment is not acceptable. It is the client’s responsibility to check that the equipment is working to their satisfaction at the start of their booking.
f) Photoion Photography shall not be liable to the client for any loss, damage, expense, or for any consequential loss (including loss of profit) whatsoever or howsoever arising out of or in connection with any of the following: any damage to or loss of property by the client or the clients servants or agents or any third party; any breakdown, stoppage or failure of the facilities and equipment provided in the studio or any other equipment supplied to the client by Photoion.

Termination

Photoion Studio may terminate any contract if the client shall be in breach of any of the above Terms and Conditions. Any termination will result in the loss of monies paid for hire.
